Industrial Heritage

Goal:

To demand attention for and secure and maintain monuments of business and technology
as an essential part of the history of the city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch.

Method:

The working group keeps an eye on developments in the city in which the industrial heritage is involved. The working group thinks along with possible new economic functions for monuments and brings the value of the heritage to the attention of governments, investors and project developers. They hope to encourage them to retain valuable cultural and historical industrial monuments by means of purchase and repurposing

Activities

• Performing industrial archaeological research and describing and documenting the industrial heritage of ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
• Organizing the course Industrial Heritage, as a module of Boschology III.
